Who is Tolu?

Tolu Akande is a full-time credentialed internal executive leadership coach as well as a Doctoral Candidate in Leadership and Professional Practice (Coaching & Consulting) at Trevecca Nazarene University. He is conducting research on Internal Coaching Practices: Identifying Differences in HR Strategy, Staffing Models and Executive Perception.

Internal Coaching Research?

Do you and/or your organization have a willingness to be a part of the confidential research on internal coaching (coaching sponsored or funded by organizations, internal or external) which will hopefully add new insight to the coaching industry?

Coaching in organizations is still a developing field and there is very little research-based knowledge on the topic.

The Request / Ideal Participants…

Tolu is looking for internal coaching professionals in organizations that currently have functioning internal coaching practices/programs that use internal or external coaching to support their employees. More specifically, here are the 3 populations that can help:

  • Program/practice leaders & internal coaches > Click Here to Take the Survey

    ✅Employees of the organization who lead or coordinate coaching efforts for employees of the organization AND/OR

    ✅Employees of an organization who (are trained as coaches) and coach as part of their formal or informal role in the organization

  • Employees who have received coaching: > Click Here to Take the Survey

    ✅Experienced company/organization-sponsored or funded coaching within the past 10 years
    ✅ Participated in individual, team, or group coaching sessions
    ✅ Worked with coaches inside AND/OR outside of their organization

  • Executives (Director level and above) > Click Here to Take the Survey

    ✅Leaders whose organizations have coaching efforts currently taking place in their organization

Time Commitment: Surveys take approximately 5-7 minutes. The optional virtual focus group will last 60 minutes.

Participation in this study is voluntary, and your identity as a participant will be protected before, during, and after the study data is collected. Strict confidentiality procedures will be in place. During and after the study, participant names and organizations will be filed under pseudonyms, data records will be securely stored, and Zoom meetings will be password-protected.

Video recordings be stored on Zoom’s cloud service and will be destroyed as soon as the researcher validates the data transcription, within 30 days of interview.
