ICF Mentor Coaching FAQ’s!

  • Mentor Coaching for an ICF Credential consists of coaching and feedback in a collaborative, appreciative and dialogued process based on an observed or recorded coaching session to increase the coach's capability in coaching, in alignment with the ICF Core Competencies (ICF Website).

  • If you are currently in a coaching training program OR have already completed one, ICF Mentor Coaching is a great next step!

    Beyond the tools and feedback for growth you will receive, ICF mentor coaching is a requirement for those who desire to attain an ICF credential.

    Currently, Tolu supports those looking to gain their ACC or PCC credential.

  • Mentor coaching groups are fluid in 2024 and depend on availability. Please use send Tolu a message to see availability.

    Individual mentor coaching can begin
    at the discretion of the mentor coach and coach.

    *All Sessions Via Zoom

  • All mentor coaching sessions (group and 1:1) will be held via Zoom.

  • Mentor Coaching should take place over an extended time (three-month minimum) in a cycle that allows for listening and feedback from the Mentor Coach while also allowing reflection and practice on the part of the individual being mentored (ICF Website).

    In total, mentor coaching hours for this group will amount to 11 hours. Only 10 are required by the ICF.

  • Each session will focus on 1-2 ICF Core Competencies. The goal is to review the competencies, share insights, encourage and challenge to use the competencies in client settings at the level of credential you’ll be applying for.

    Tolu will incorporate best practices, stories, mock coaching sessions and leave time for Q&A.

  • Both. ICF Mentor Coaching includes: (7 hours of group sessions + 3 hours of 1:1 individual sessions)

    Individual Sessions: Two 1:1 sessions, 90 minutes per session.

What’s mentor coaching with Tolu like?

Tolu is a very practical coach. He gives direct feedback, celebrates your wins and shares practical examples of how to improved based on ICF’s Core Competencies and Code of Ethics. As a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) accredited with the International Coaching Federation, Tolu has committed his career to coaching excellence. Outside of the ICF competencies, Tolu gives you every and any piece of information or resource he owns. No holding back on any value or opportunity whatsoever!

What will ICF mentor coaching give me?

10 hours of Mentor Coaching is needed to receive your ICF credential. It’s a process that equips you for the application process (Coach Knowledge Assessment, Coaching Recording Evaluations, Core Competencies and Code of Ethics training and documentation etc.) to gain your ICF credential.

  • Option 1: $1595 (join the group here)

    Option 2: Monthly payment plan options of $575 / month for 3 months.


    Individual (1:1) mentor coaching: $1795

  • As part of your credential application, you’ll be required to identify Tolu as your mentor coach. The ICF will contact Tolu to verify all 10 hours were completed by you. You must attend all mentor coaching sessions to receive credit for mentor coaching.

  • Yes. All group mentor coaching session are recorded and will be shared with participants.

Session breakdown

  • 6 Group Sessions (4-10 people)

  • 2 Individual Coaching Recording Review Sessions (90-minutes each)

  • Individual mentor coaching sessions usually last 60-90 minutes. However, scheduling can be adjusted to suit the schedule of the mentor coach and coach.
